Product Description of Polysulfone CAS#25135-51-7
Polysulfone, commonly referred to as bisphenol A polysulfone, is a transparent linear thermoplastic engineering plastic with a Transparent amber color. It has a relative density of 1.24, and possesses excellent dimensional stability, exceptional resistance to boiling water and high-temperature steam, favorable mechanical properties, and excellent dielectric performance.
Additionally, polysulfone offers good chemical resistance, flame retardancy, and non-toxicity. Nevertheless, its weather resistance and UV resistance are relatively poor. In general, polysulfone refers to polymers containing sulfone groups (—SO₂—). As a type of engineering plastic, it specifically features structural units in which aromatic rings are linked via sulfone linkages.
