Product Application of Citric Acid Monohydrate CAS#5949-29-1
Citric Acid Monohydrate is a widely used organic acid across the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care and industrial sectors. In food and beverage applications, it functions as an acidulant, flavour modifier and preservative aid to adjust tartness, improve flavour balance and help extend shelf life. In pharmaceutical formulations, it serves as a pH regulator, buffering agent and chelating agent for tablets, syrups and effervescent preparations.
It is also used in personal care and cleaning products for pH adjustment and metal ion sequestration. In industrial applications, it can be used as a water treatment additive, metal cleaning agent and, in certain cases, a concrete retarder. This versatile raw material can be compounded with other ingredients and is valued by manufacturers for its stable quality and reliable performance.
